Welcome to my site! My name is Susan and I live in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. I am here to share my artistic creations, ideas, and experiences with you, with the hope of inspiring and elevating your mind, heart, and soul.

This site is about Beauty - breathing it, living it, expressing it. Beauty as a way of life and being in the world. I believe that Beauty, in all of its myriad forms, can resonate with the human spirit, elevating us to higher levels of consciousness and compassion. I invite you to consider and open up a space inside of yourself to allow Beauty to speak to you and take you to a higher place. When you hear a piece of music that moves you to tears, or when you see a vivid painting that stops you in your tracks and takes your breath away, what is it in you that is shaken? How can that force of energy, that moment when you feel most alive, be cultivated more and more and become a part of your daily life? At the heart, that is what all of my artistic creations strive to be - the direct experience of the mystical as it expresses itself through form - and what I am seeking to live out every day, and what I hope resonates with you, too, to enliven your highest, best self.

Beauty has a way of helping us to see from new perspectives and new levels of meaning. It is a door that opens us to realities we didn’t know were there. When we become aware that life has so much deep meaning, layers of meanings and symbols and metaphors, we feel more alive and connected with others and with all of creation. It brings us greater levels of compassion and empathy. It opens us up more and more and we realize how interconnected we are. Suddenly a world that we took for granted, that seemed small, constricted, and black and white, explodes into a living, three-dimensional, technicolor universe. This reality is always and already here. It is always available to us in every moment. We just have to open up more and more to experience it and realize it is the very essence of existence, the background music to life that we didn’t know was playing in and through us.

Beauty is also a great and infinite Mystery, an inexhaustible source of treasures. You can come back to it again and again and it is Forever New and Real. Likewise the human being, inside each one of us, is that same Mystery containing multitude upon multitude of unexplored universes. Imagine walking down the street and contemplating what that means as you look into the vulnerability of each human face - that each stranger you pass contains this infinite Mystery. We are a mystery to ourselves, let alone to other people. We should be as awestruck in the presence of another human being, or any living being, as we are when we look up at the Milky Way. Go inside yourself, into your own Being, and see what you find there. How can your own life become an outward expression of that Inner Beauty that is what you already are? This is what I mean by, “Sublime Inner Life.”
